Note:

On the subject of sleep exploring the interrelationship between conscious states of unrest in everyday reality.

Sleep is one of the lesser known facets of our shared reality. ‘Wachtraum’ translates as ‘dream-in-waking’ and was chosen as a title to explore the states of rest and waking that are tied up into each moment of our life. Tracing the form of a full cycle of sleep, this piece was written during a particularly bad bout of insomnia. Considering the zombies that we all become when we lack sleep, the dampening of sensation and general lethargy, the purpose of the work is to consider the life we lead when lacking this fundamental cornerstone of the part of humanity that unites us all - sleep.

O magic sleep! imprisoned liberty! great key to golden palaces.
