A work inspired by the rapid change of seasons in Scandinavia as the earth sighs toward winter. This piece is sculpted on ideals of the transient - a state within which we derive and eventually return to, Simply as breath do we retain our gentle grasp upon the world we live in. Movements of music are reflected and amplified in physical movements within the percussion instrumental structure as composed into the score.
My place is placeless,
a trace of the traceless.
Neither body or soul.
I belong to the beloved,
have seen the two worlds as one
and that one call to and know,
first, last, outer, inner, only that
breath breathing human being.
